Competitions and Awards

Allianz Climate Risk Research Award, Extreme weather events and possibilities to foster resilience by applying technological solutions (PhD students and recent post doctorate graduates from social and natural sciences).  Top 4 finalists are invited for award event in Munich in December 2017 and their research is supported with an award of up to 7000 €. Application deadline: 2 September 2017.

2018 OWSD-Elsevier Foundation Award, Nomination for Early Career Women Scientists in the Developing World. Application deadline: 15 September 2017.

WCRP/WWRP International Prize for Model Development, Award annually for an outstanding contribution to weather and climate model development by an early- to mid-career researcher. Application deadline: 1 October 2017.

WCRP/GCOS International Data Prize, Award annually to honour achievements in (climate) data product generation, data management, data preservation, data monitoring, and other data relevant activities by an early- to mid-career researcher.  Application deadline: 1 October 2017.
